“...for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience” (Hebrews 4:10-11, NIV).
You might be wondering how this scripture relates to “coming home”. Well, our home is rest in God; and we find that rest through our personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Now more than ever, this rest is vitally important.
A storm is coming. A storm is coming, and those of us who call ourselves believers are not ready. Not to mention the rest of the world. We are not ready because many of us are not at home. We have either not truly found our rest in God or have chosen to leave our home to pursue our own fruitless desires. We need to return home and prepare the house (the Body of Believers) for the storm. There are people outside and we need to bring them in. Many are deceived and are focused on the world’s pleasures not realizing that this will lead to their demise.
Brother and Sisters, Jesus is coming back. He is coming back soon and we need to be ready! We are only ready when we have entered into His rest; i.e. established an intimate, personal relationship with Him by accepting Jesus Christ as our LORD and Savior.
We pray the LORD gives you ears to hear this message. If you feel moved to accept Jesus as your LORD and Savior or to rededicate your life to Christ, please do so TODAY. None of us are perfect, we have all fallen short (Romans 3:23), and we all struggle with hidden sins and strongholds of the enemy (Psalms 19:12-13). God loves us with a love that covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8); a love by which He “gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”(John 3:16).
The penalty of death for your sins has been paid in full, and because of this, God's face shines upon us (Romans 6:22-23). However, we must choose to accept His gift of forgiveness and redemption. By saying that simple prayer, you have embarked upon a new journey. An Illuminated Journey. You are now a disciple of the LORD Jesus Christ, the Light of World. I encourage you to cultivate your relationship with God by spending time with Him in prayer and quiet time. Read, study, and apply His Word to all aspects of your life and He will transform your heart, mind, soul and life.
